Conduits are special purpose entities established to provide a means of access to the capital markets for asset-backed and corporate borrowers. Asset-Backed Commercial Paper conduits purchase a pool of assets or securities and fund the purchase of such investments through the issuance of commercial paper. Medium Term Note conduits purchase either a single asset or security or a pool of assets or securities and funds the asset purchase through the issuance of medium term notes.
Meridian Funding Company, LLC
A special-purpose bankruptcy remote entity established to acquire both fixed and revolving investment grade structured financial assets. Meridian match funds investments through the issuance of medium term notes issued in U.S. or European markets in U.S. Dollars and other currencies. The program is insured by MBIA Insurance Corp. and carries MBIA's unconditional and irrevocable guarantee.
Triple-A One Funding Corporation
A special-purpose bankruptcy remote entity established as a means of offering low cost funding alternatives to investment grade and non-investment grade corporates and financial institutions. Funds investments through the issuance of U.S. Dollar denominated asset-backed commercial paper. Assets are insured by MBIA Insurance Corp. and carry MBIA's unconditional and irrevocable guarantee. |
