Oberholzer, Ph.D
Managing Director
Dr. Oberholzer joined MBIA Asset Management
in 2003 and is a managing director in
the London office where he is responsible
for developing and managing the international
fixed income businesses of MBIA Asset
Management. Previously, he spent six
years at DrKW as Director of the Structured
Credit Investment unit, where his principal
responsibilities were establishing and
managing structured investment vehicles
(including K2 Corporation). Prior to
joining DrKW, Dr. Oberholzer worked
in the Clifford Chance capital markets
group, structuring various asset-backed
products including structured investment
vehicles (SIV), collateralized debt
obligations (CDOs) and asset-backed
commercial paper programs. He is qualified
in the UK as an FSA General Representative
and lawyer. Dr. Oberholzer has a bachelor’s
degree from RAU (South Africa), an LLB
cum laude law degree from RAU (South
Africa) and a doctorate from the University
of Cambridge (United Kingdom).
